Electric Heat Rate and Rebates
Dakota Energy Cooperative Offers Special Rates–2.2¢ kWh Credit
When you install a high efficiency electric heating system you can qualify for the cooperative's electric heat rate. In order to qualify for this program, your heating system must be a permanent electric resistance space heater, a heat pump system, and/or an in-floor heating system. Both residential and commercial buildings qualify as long as the heating system is the primary source of heat for the buildings. The heating system must be separately metered, and the discounted rate will be applicable from October 1 through April 30. Members need to complete an Electric Heat Meter Form.
Dakota Energy also offers a special air conditioning rate of 6.0 cents/kWh for those homes that are heated with electricity. To qualify for the air conditioning rate the system must be a permanently installed central system and will need to capable of being cycled off and on during load control. Electric Heat Rebates
