Sign up for the 2010 Youth Tour
June 11-17, 2010
To be eligible for the National Rural Electric Youth Tour to Washington, DC you must commit to:
- Spend a day visiting Dakota Energy Headquarters and East River Electric Cooperative at Madison.
- Complete a Personal Data Sheet (PDF)
- Complete an essay,
- Submit to an interview, and
- Give a short report at Dakota Energy’s annual meeting on the youth tour (if requested).
The essay of 600 words or less shall include the following information:
- What are the benefits of being a member of an electric cooperative?
- Explain the importance of energy conservation.
- Give examples on how to make a home more energy efficient.
On a separate sheet, write about the one thing that you would like to see in Washington, DC if you were one of the winners.
The essay is due at Dakota Energy’s Huron Office by March 5, 2010 at 4:30 p.m.
